No pods yet. The process list appears here once a Salad node claims a chunk.
Chunk queue
New claims take this list first, in the order added. An empty list goes back to random. Already-done indexes are skipped. An index that is already out with a pod is handed out when that pod finishes or gives it back. Write a range as 100-140 with no spaces.
Timing
A pod that stops heartbeating keeps its chunk until the claim window ends. Heartbeats should be several times shorter than that window.
Worker token
Every Salad pod sends this. Apache often drops Authorization, so prefer the X-Worker-Token header.

Ledger
Import an existing ledger
Pause claims, wait until nothing is in flight, then on the server:
php tools/import.php /path/to/puzzle.khchunk
Accepts the desktop KHCHUNK1 file, or a raw completion bitset of the same length. Import replaces done bits and leaves the desk paused.
Rebuild geometry
This throws away done bits, claims, and the recycle queue, then pauses the desk. Type WIPE to confirm.

Base URL
One chunk per process. Calling claim again returns the same chunk and refreshes the window. On finish, complete. On shutdown, release. If a heartbeat returns claim_lost, the chunk was reclaimed — ask for another. Send found when a key turns up.
Responses worth handling
paused — finish the current chunk, do not ask for a new one.
drained — nothing left to scan.
busy — retry after a second.
claim_lost — this process no longer owns the chunk.
